I enjoy looking at house plans. Some of these were nice, but too many of the plans were impossible to read, even with a magnifying glass. It was very frustrating. I don't care if the design is not to my taste, but I want to be able to read the notes on the plan.
This item is basically a catalog to sell house plans. The main purpose is to convince you to pay about $1000 for a set of house plans for one of the many homes shown. There are a lot of nice color pictures, but if you really wan to see the floor plan and size of the rooms, this can be difficult for many of the houses.
We just bought land and are getting ready to build a house. This book was very helpful and we used ideas from the different floor plans. It really helps to see something in black and white - photos were great.
I ordered 3 home plan books and this was the best of the 3, but still didn't find anything I liked. Kitchen had way too few cabinets. I know I need to downsize, but this was ridiculous.
This book of home plans is just what I need for obtaining ideas to build my retirement home.

There are some pretty nice floor plans in here but you could probably find something similar online without having to pay. The binding of the book came completely apart after about 2 days of flipping through the pages.
Many many good ideas presented here. Indexed to find sq footage I was looking for. Well worth the price
