As one dance teacher to another, Carrie Fox in my opinion is one of the most "Dancer Friendly" teacher's I have ever come across. I believe this to be true not only because of her knowledge of dance but also because of her knowledge of psychology which I believe to be an important part of introducing any type of information to any type of student. This was a quick read. It is really geared toward the person who might want to teach dancing although it includes some of the motivations for taking dance classes and sticking with it. I appreciate Carri's repeated advice to know your strengths as a teacher and find you niche. As a social dance student myself, I also appreciate her emphasis on teaching individuals and discovering their motivation for taking dance and teaching to their learning style.

I enjoyed the book. She talked about the different interests that everyone has but they all come together when they dance.
We've enjoyed taking dance classes from Carri for more than a year. Her book is a great read for anyone considering being a dance instructor as well as a fun read for the student to gain some insight into the teacher's perspective on how to teach people with different skill levels, different motivations, and different goals--not an easy task, indeed.
Interesting way to write a book by interviewing the author. A lot of insight into why someone becomes a dance instructor and motivation behind why people take dance classes. Good read!
Carri makes dancing easy and fun. She knows her stuff, and she can explain it in a way that makes it easy for beginners to make fast progress.
